Celtic have expressed an interested in signing Owen Beck from Liverpool. The Welshman caught the attention of Brendan Rodgers during his successful spell at Dundee and a loan bid in January was unsuccessful.

Now, Sky Sports reporter Anthony Joseph has updated supporters to state that Celtic are interested in pursuing a permanent deal for Beck but face competition from QPR.

Speaking on Twitter/X, the journalist stated that a decision on the player’s future will be made next week and a permanent move could occur if the valuation for the player is met.

Beck impressed under Tony Docherty last season at Dens Park, making 28 appearances in all competitions, scoring twice and assisting four times. The player got injured towards the end of the campaign, meaning he failed to have the opportunity to impress in the post-split fixtures.

The youngster has made just three appearances for Liverpool but one of those – a brief cameo away to Bournemouth – scuppered his chances of a loan move to Celtic.
