Some managers lift weights, others lift trophies then hang out with Jurgen Klopp

Some managers lift weights, others lift trophies…

Philippe Clement made an impression recently with theRangers supporters on social media as a clip of him working out in the gym went viral. Big Phil is currently giving Todd Cantwell a run for his money in the attention seeking stakes on some forms of social media but perhaps not on TikTok.

The bears, bless them,  all watched on in awe as the big Belgian showed his strength by lifting an array of weights. They were instantly smitten as Philippe flexed his muscles and made the Ibrox supporters feel good about themselves after such a disappointing campaign that promises so much yet delivered so little.

Each to their own I suppose. If it makes them happy then that’s all that matters. They haven’t had much to cheer about recently after all.

But our very own Brendan Rodgers, while not as lively in the weight lifting department more than made up for that disappointment by lifting trophies and enjoying some time on his Spanish holidays with another former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

Yes, Brendan, like that other elite manager Jurgen is a serial winner. He proved that in his first spell at Celtic, and doesn’t show any signs of slowing down in his second spell as he led the club to a League and Scottish Cup double.

Some managers lift weights, and some lift trophies, and I know which one I prefer.

About Author

An ordinary everyday Celtic supporters hailing and still residing in Govan in the shadows of the enemy. I’m a season ticket holder. I Witnessed my first Celtic game in 1988 and have attended when I can ever since. Growing up in the 90s I witnessed Celtic at their lowest, and now appreciate the historic success we enjoy today. I enjoy writing about this wonderful football club and hopefully will continue to do so. I’ve always been a keen writer and initially started this a hobby. My ambition is to one day become as good an author as my fellow Celtic Star colleagues.
