Everyone knows that Odsonne Edouard will finally move on from Celtic, but you do start to worry that an exit this summer appears to be inevitable.

He’s not had his best season this time round but there have been signs of life in recent games, so it’s in everyone’s best interests for him to have a brilliant end to the season.

It means bigger clubs will be interested in him, and Celtic will be able to command a giant fee which can be put towards rebuilding the various weak spots in the squad.

Nobody has emerged as the main contender to sign the French striker at this point but a report from Sport Witness has indicated that Roma are very keen to bring him in.

It’s believed that their new Sporting Director Thiago Pinto is a huge fan of the striker, while he’s even admitted to the Italian press that Edouard is the transfer target that he “likes the most” going into the summer window.

It’s expected that Edin Dzeko will leave Roma in the summer so they will be in the market for a striker, while there’s no sign of a new contract being signed just now so Celtic can’t let themselves get into a position where he enters the final year of his deal.

Expect plenty of other suitors to emerge as the summer approaches, but Roma could be a great destination for Eddy if he does decide to move on.
