Steve Clarke selects 4 Celtic stars in Scotland squad to face Israel and Czech Republic

Steve Clarke has named four Celtic players in his Scotland squad for the two Nations League matches at the start of next month. Greg Taylor, Ryan Christie, Callum McGregor and James Forrest are all included in the 24 man squad.

There are also another four ex-Celts in the squad. Kieran Tierney is back after a period out of the national side due to his injury problems, David Marshall, who recently joined Derby County is the first pick keeper, Southampton’s Stuart Armstrong, a Celtic Invincible is included as is West Brom’s Oliver Burke, who spent the second half of the 2018-19 season on loan at Celtic.

The Scotland squad is detailed below with the matches are scheduled to take place on Friday 4 September and Monday 7 September.

The Scotland manager is currently holding a press conference to talk about his squad selection and these crucial games as he looks to lead Scotland to the first major finals since France 1998.
