One man who will not be a happy camper at the way in which today’s game in the Scottish Premiership went at Paisley is, Charles Dunne. The big central defender allowed the Hoops a way back into the game when he foolishly misread the movement of the ball, allowing Japanese attacker Kyogo Furuhashi to nip in ahead of him before he pulled him to the floor.

Even though Ange Postecoglou’s side had the original penalty decision overturned, it made an already monumentous task near impossible for the Buddies this afternoon in the cinch Premiership. After thinking that their luck might be in against the reigning Scottish Champions, Dunne shot himself and his teammates in the foot with this one and it will be hurting them.

Celtic returned to the fold in the second half determined to set things right after a dismal performance in the first 45 minutes of the game. We did just that; making a substitution from the bench, we rallied and managed to blow the opposition away as our quality proved too much against the ten men of St Mirren.

Sky Sports journalist, Anthony Joseph has taken a playful pop at Saints’ defender Dunne, by claiming that there will be another trial at St Mirren’ s training ground – referring to when a mock trial was hosted by the club after Dunne was snapped in an Aberdeen jersey a while back. It was a bit of a lark and everyone involved found it funny. I doubt that will be the case this time around, mind you!

Here’s what Joseph had to say on the issue via Twitter:

“Surely another trial date set for Charles Dunne at St Mirren training…”
