Tommy McIntyre has named his side for today’s Scottish Lowland Football League clash against Edinburgh University AFC. The Celtic B side includes a few players that may have been hoping to be involved with this evening’s first team match against Alloa Athletic in the Scottish Cup but the young Celts will be hoping to propel themselves into third place if they can record a win.

CELTIC: 1. Oluwayemi, 2. Jackson, 3. Paterson (C), 4. Murphy, 5. Murray, 6. Carse, 7. Summers, 8. Wylie, 9. Brooks, 10. Dawson, 11. Moffat.

SUBS: Davidson, Mullan, Letsosa, Goldie.

The game kicks off at 3pm at East Peffermill. Moffat, Dawson and Oluwayemi would have been looking to be involved with Postecoglou’s team having been involved with the first team in the earlier part of the season.

The opportunity for the youngsters to play regular competitive football will reap rewards in the next few years as players see the opportunity to train within the club and also pull on the Hoops. Hopefully, we start to see players progress from the ‘B Team’ into Ange Postecoglou’s matchday squads moving forward.

Come on the young Celts.
