Brendan Rodgers has named his starting XI for this afternoon’s Cinch Premiership clash against Hearts at Tynecastle. The Scottish Champions know that a win will take them back to the top of the table after Rangers were beaten by Motherwell at Ibrox.

The manager will have to contend without Callum McGregor with the skipper not passing fitness tests due to tightness in his Achilles/calf. The Celtic captain is replaced by Paulo Bernardo in the starting XI.

In goals, Joe Hart starts.

In defence, Cameron Carter-Vickers starts alongside Liam Scales. CCV has the armband. Alistair Johnston and Greg Taylor start in the fullback berths.

In midfield, Bernardo joins Matt O’Riley with Tomoki Iwata playing in the deeper role.

In attack, Adam Idah starts through the middle with Yang and Daizen Maeda on the flanks.

Subs: Bain, Lagerbielke, Welsh, Ralston, Kelly, Palma, Kyogo, Kuhn, Holm.
