Team’s Up – Brendan makes Bernardo over Hatate call for Dortmund

Brendan Rodgers has named his Celtic team for this evening’s UEFA Champions League clash with Borussia Dortmund. After a 5-1 win against Slovan Bratislava, Celtic will need to be at their best to get a result against last season’s finalist but the manager has made no changes from the side that beat St Johnstone at the weekend.

Kasper Schmeichel starts in nets.

A back four of Alistair Johnston, Auston Trusty, Liam Scales and Greg Taylor will start in front of the Dane.

The manager had one major call to make – whether to pick Reo Hatate or Paulo Bernardo to complete the midfield three. The Irishman has decided to go with the Portugal U21 skipper to play alongside Arne Engels and Callum McGregor.

In attack, Kyogo starts through the middle with Daizen Maeda and Nicolas Kühn on the flanks.

Subs: Sinisalo, Bain, Idah, Valle, Yang, Nawrocki, Hatate, McCowan, Forrest, Ralston, Welsh, Palma.

Come on Celtic!
