Celtic skipper Callum McGregor has been named in the Scotland Starting XI for this evening’s game against Cyprus. After dictating the play in Celtic’s 1-0 win over Rangers at Ibrox last weekend, the central midfielder will look to take Steve Clarke’s team one step closer to qualifying for the Euros next summer.
Backed by over 5000 Scotland fans, Clarke has named a strong team for what could be a potentially tricky game.
In goals, Norwich City stopper Angus Gunn starts.
There are two former Celts in the back three – Kieran Tierney and Jack Hendry, who are joined by Ryan Porteous.
In the wingback berths, captain Andy Robertson is on the left while Aaron Hickey is on the right.
CalMac starts in the middle along with Billy Gilmour and Scott McTominay.
In attack, John McGinn starts off Che Adams.

Hopefully Scotland can get the job done and then can focus on the game on Tuesday back at Hampden against England. Whilst it’s a friendly, it’ll likely be a competitive game with both sides keen to take the bragging rights away.
