Steve Clarke has decided to rotate his team with Celtic duo Callum McGregor and Greg Taylor starting from the bench. The Scotland manager said he would try and make some changes from the team that drew 1-1 with Poland at Hampden.

In goals, ex-Celtic stopper Craig Gordon retains his place in nets. In defence, Grant Hanley is joined by another couple of former Celts in Jack Hendry and Kieran Tierney.
Nathan Patterson starts at RWB with Liverpool full-back Andy Robertson starting at LWB.

In midfield, Stuart Armstrong, Lewis Ferguson and Ryan Jack make up the midfield three with John McGinn playing off Che Adams.

On the bench: Clark, Kelly, O’Donnell, McTominay, McGregor, Dykes, Christie, Gilmour, Halkett, Hickey, Brown & Taylor.

Clarke opted to start Callum McGregor and Greg Taylor in the draw against Poland last week. Taylor was replaced by Aaron Hickey after 67 minutes whilst the Celtic skipper lasted ten minutes longer than his teammate, being replaced on 77 minutes by Ryan Jack. With the team news in now, Clarke has gone for a strong team with skipper Robertson starting in the left-wingback role.

Given that Celtic face Rangers at Ibrox on Sunday, it is positive that two players that will be nailed on to start will not be forced to play a substantial amount of football for their country ahead of a vital game.
