Team’s Up – Craig Levein names St Johnstone side for Celtic clash

Craig Levein has named his St Johnstone team for this afternoon’s game against Celtic. The former Hearts manager always had a knack of making things difficult for Brendan Rodgers and he will be looking to replicate that at McDiarmid Park this afternoon.

Levein has named his team as he looks to frustrate Celtic, soak up pressure and look to hit the Scottish Champions on the break.

St Johnstone: Mitov, Brown, McGowan, Gordon, Costelloe, Phillips, Smith, Kucheriavyi, Robinson, Carey, Jaiyesimi.

Subs: Richards, May, Kane, Jephcott, Olufunwa, Sprangler, Ballantyne, Turner-Cooke, Franczak.

Meanwhile, Brendan Rodgers has named his team for this afternoon’s game:

Hart, A.Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Scales, Taylor, McGregor, O’Riley, Turnbull, Yang, Palma, Kyogo.

Subs: Bain, Phillips, Holm, Oh, Iwata, Bernardo, Forrest, Ralston, M.Johnston.

Celtic can go eleven points clear of second placed Rangers, who play later today. Celtic dropped points last weekend with a home draw against Motherwell; however, Clement’s team failed to capitalise on this by drawing at Pittodrie against Aberdeen.
