Neil Lennon has named his side for tonight’s must-win game against Livingston. On his return to the dugout, the Celtic manager has opted to recall a number of stars after their isolation order ended.
In goals, Vasilis Barkas starts on his return from being identified as a close contact to Christopher Jullien in Dubai when the defender tested positive. Barkas replaces Conor Hazard.
In defence, Celtic’s standout defender this season Kris Ajer returns to the Starting XI along with Shane Duffy and Nir Bitton. Greg Taylor starts on the left hand side in the place of Diego Laxalt, who
Ismaila Soro joins Callum McGregor in the centre of midfield with David Turnbull in an advanced position. Ryan Christie and Moi Elyounoussi start in the wide areas as Celtic look to end a winless run away to Livingston.
In attack, Leigh Griffiths starts as Celtic look to get points on the board in one of their three games in hand over Rangers.
On the bench: Bain, Brown, Ajeti, Klimala, Rogic, Johnston, Frimpong, Welsh and Laxalt.
It is unclear what the formation is at it could be 3-5-2, which Lennon has used before. Or it may be a more conventional 4-3-3 with Christie and Moi operating as wingers and Kris Ajer at right back. This could also be a diamond with Moi and Griff in attack with Odsonne Edouard out.
It is a must win tonight for the team if they are to have any aspirations to win the league this season.
Interestingly, as The Celtic Star noted yesterday, there is no Odsonne Edouard or Olivier Ntcham in the Starting XI suggesting that the positive case that Neil Lennon announced on Monday was in fact one of the French stars.
