Team’s Up – Kettlewell names Motherwell XI for Celtic clash

Stuart Kettlewell has named his Motherwell for this afternoon’s game against Celtic. The Fir Park side have had a poor run of form, which has been surprising given their impressive start to the season.

Motherwell team v Celtic: Kelly, Mugabi, Butcher, Casey, Blaney, O’Donnell, Spencer, Slattery, Paton, Spittal, Biereth.

Subs: Oxborough, Gent, Obika, Bair, Zdravkovski, Shaw, L.Ross, M.Ross, Wilkinson.

Meanwhile, Brendan Rodgers has named a strong team as his side looks to record maximum points.

Celtic: Hart, Ralston, Carter-Vickers, Scales, Taylor, McGregor, O’Riley, Holm, Yang, Palma, Kyogo.

Subs: Bain, A.Johnston, Phillips, Oh, Tilio, Turnbull, Bernabei, Bernardo, M.Johnston.

When the teams met at the end of September, Celtic clinched victory in dramatic fashion. Luis Palma scored before Spittal pulled level to seemingly tie the game. However, Celtic refused to accept this and managed to create an opening for Matt O’Riley, who finished brilliantly to win the game.

The game at Paradise kicks off at 3pm and Steven McLean will oversee proceedings. Celtic can go eleven points clear with a win, with Rangers travelling north to face Aberdeen tomorrow.
