Team’s Up – Palma and Maeda start, CCV at the back

Brendan Rodgers has named his team for this afternoon’s game against Hearts at Tynecastle. The Scottish Champions have arrived in Edinburgh as they look to continue their unbeaten domestic run and restore their seven point lead over Rangers.

Celtic clinched the title last season at this ground and Brendan has secured the title here, too. However, the Irishman will be well aware of the challenges facing his team at the intimidating arena.

In goals, Joe Hart starts. The Englishman has reportedly entered into contract talks with the club and a performance at a notoriously tough away venue will do him no harm.

In defence, Rodgers has continued with Cameron Carter-Vickers beside Liam Scales. Both central defenders were involved in international football during the break. Alistair Johnston and Greg Taylor start in the full-back berths.

In midfield, Callum McGregor is joined by Reo Hatate and Matt O’Riley.

In attack, Maeda and Luis Palma start on the flanks with Kyogo through the middle.

On the Bench: Scott Bain, Nat Phillips, Yang, David Turnbull, Oh, Tomoki Iwata, Paolo Bernardo, James Forrest and Tony Ralston.

Come on Celtic!
