Brendan Rodgers has named his team for this evening’s UEFA Champions League opener against Feyenoord in Rotterdam. The Scottish Champions come into the game on the back of an away victory against Rangers and then a home win against Dundee and will be hoping to get a positive result tonight.

From the weekend, the Irishman has made three changes, as predicted by The Celtic Star earlier today. Firstly, Gustaf Lagerbielke comes in for Nat Phillips, Reo Hatate for David Turnbull and Luis Palma for Yang.

In goals, experienced No.1 Joe Hart starts.

In defence, Lagerbielke partners Liam Scales in the central pairing with Alistair Johnston at right back and Greg Taylor at left back.

In midfield, skipper Callum McGregor is joined by Matt O’Riley and Hatate. The manager will be hoping that this trio can dictate the tempo of the game, defend when required and help create some openings for the front three.

In attack, talisman Kyogo leads the line. The Japanese star is assisted by Daizen Maeda and Luis Palma.

Celtic: Hart; Johnston, Lagerbielke, Scales, Taylor; McGregor, O’Riley, Hatate; Palma, Kyogo, Maeda.

Bench: Bain, Morrison, Yang, Turnbull, Holm, Oh, Tomoki, Bernardo, Forrest, Ralston, M. Johnston.

Come on Celtic!
