Tony Ralston has been named in Steve Clarke’s Scotland team for this evening’s game against Poland. The Celtic fullback has been dependable for both Celtic and the National Team when he’s been called upon and Clarke has given him the nod for their Nation’s League opener at Hampden.

In goals, Angus Gunn starts.

In defence, it appears to be a back four comprising of Ralston, Scott McKenna and Grant Hanley with Liverpool’s Andy Robertson at left back.

In midfield, Billy Gilmour starts with Kenny McLean, John McGinn and Scott McTominay.

In attack, Lyndon Dykes and Ryan Christie start.

Subs: Jon McCracken, Zander Clark, Lawrence Shankland, Josh Doig, Connor Barron, Ryan Porteous, John Souttar, Ben Doak, Lewis Morgan, Tommy Conway, Ryan Gauld, Max Johnston.

Ralston is the only Celt representing in the National Team after James Forrest and Greg Taylor withdrew due to knocks. The duo played in the 3-0 win over Rangers but were forced to withdraw after picking up slight knocks. With Celtic’s busy month forthcoming, they’ll want to ensure they’re at their best and not risk hampering their chances of playing in the UCL.
