Team’s Up – Valle starts, McGregor and Kühn return to start

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has named his Starting XI for this evening’s Scottish League Cup clash against Aberdeen. The Scottish Champions face the visitors from Pittodrie at the National Stadium as they look to secure their place in the Cup Final.

The Irishman has named what appears to be his strongest XI with skipper Callum McGregor and winger Nicolas Kühn returning to the team after missing out through injury.

In goals, Kasper Schmeichel starts.

In defence, Auston Trusty partners Cameron Carter-Vickers in the central pairing. The American duo are joined by Canadian Alistair Johnston at right back with Alex Valle starting at left back.

In midfield, McGregor returns to skipper the side with Reo Hatate and Arne Engels.

In attack, Kyogo starts through the middle with Daizen Maeda and Nicolas Kühn in the wide areas.

Subs: Sinisalo, Taylor, Scales, Palma, Idah, Yang, Bernardo, Forrest & Ralston.
