Tonight Daizen Maeda has been pictured in Glasgow after The Celtic Star reported earlier that he was on the way to Scotland. The forward has just finished the season in the J-League and his head will be in a spin, just like his future club teammates, Reo Hatate and Yosuke Ideguchi.
The player has been snapped with a Celtic supporter already in the city centre of Glasgow. It looks like Sauchiehall Street, judging by the shops behind the two men in the photograph. Unbelievable to think that in the space of a few hours the Japanese international has went from his homeland with Yokohama F. Marinos to one of the main streets in Glasgow.
The excitement is now palpable as the Celtic Support and Ange Postecoglou gear up for another injection of Japanese footballers. It will be interesting to see how all three players settle not just within the game in this country, but the wider environment that engulfs their new home.
If Kyogo Furuhashi is anything to go by, we could be in for one hell of ride in the second half of this League title race. What a way to welcome in the New Year.

Ideguchi is probably fair value but as far as Maeda and Hatate are concerned this is the most audacious heist in the UK since Leave realized what Brexit was actually going to cost. https://t.co/ElWg1Bo8dH
