Celtic flop Vasilis Barkas has produced an exceptional double save for new side Utrecht. The Greek goalkeeper re-signed for the Dutch club after his Celtic deal was cut short by mutual consent.

As PSV threatened going forward, Barkas was able to pull off two really top quality saves to keep the ball out the net and it’s striking based on his time at Celtic.

It is a striking couple of saves from the goalkeeper and if memory serves, he made some smart stops against Celtic for AEK Athens. Unfortunately, fans are unable to recall any such moments in a Celtic shirt.

Accordingly, some fans were questioned whether Celtic had signed his identical twin or his doppelgänger. These concerns were quickly dismissed as another user shared two clips of Barkas conceding. Whilst PSV are fairly potent in attack, the first goal is similar to the goal that was conceded against West Ham in a friendly – Barkas offers his front post and the striker takes his offer with thanks.

Good luck to the player. The weight of the Celtic jersey or the move to Glasgow proved too great for him and now he’s back playing regularly in the Netherlands.
