The Celtic History Podcast Re-launched & Begins With An Audiobook

The Celtic History Podcast was re-launched this afternoon and returns with an audiobook version of Take Me To Your Paradise: A history of Celtic-related incidents & events.

The production is put together by a Celtic author, who covers stories from the club’s history, creates the aforementioned audiobook and chats with guests about the annals of the Grand Auld team. There are also potential plans for a regular Celtic quiz feature.

The first three episodes are now available on various podcast platforms, including Spotify, RadioPublic and Anchor.fm. They cover the introduction and opening four chapters of the audiobook. Meanwhile, there are exciting plans for the future.

Topics included so far have encompassed an uprising in Ireland which led to Willie Maley joining Celtic, Brother Walfrid launching the Poor Children’s Dinner and Breakfast Tables, the hosting of charitable football events prior to the establishment of Celtic, a celebration for Hibernian winning the Scottish Cup and an uncanny twist in a further charitable football match that Brother Walfrid set up. It goes without saying that each of these events played a key role in the foundation of Celtic Football Club.
