Former Celtic midfielder Stan Petrov once detailed a terrifying dressing room bust-up with Celtic teammate Bobo Balde. The big defender didn’t take well to Petrov’s comments after a defeat. Sutton, Lennon and Thompson all tried to get in between the Guinea International to no avail as he flew his Celtic teammates across the dressing room to get to Petrov.
The clip popped up on social media again recently and it is well worth a watch, even if you might find yourself wondering how terrifying it must be to see the big fella coming after you…

Balde picked Petrov up with the energetic midfielder fearing that his teammate may cause some damage, only for Celtic’s No.6 to drop him to leave everyone stunned. Petrov and Balde were fierce competitors and some of the stories from a brilliant team are always welcome, even if it takes a very brave man to square up to Bobo. The pair were key components of Martin O’Neill’s talented pool of players. It doesn’t seem a long time ago that they were playing in the Hoops but as it was recently pointed out, this year marks the twentieth anniversary since Seville.
