The night the lights went out on an ecstatic Celtic support up at Pittodrie

Just four days after winning at Ibrox Celtic travel to Pittodrie and all but seal the league with a 1-0 win thanks to an Andy Walker goal. The second half was as exposed as Aberdeen had looked at home for many years as Celtic led by McStay and McAvennie took them apart.

Some Celtic Wiki Trivia on the game at Pittodrie…

* This game was due to be played a week previously but the match was postponed an hour before the kick off when the Celtic support were already in Aberdeen.

* 5000 travelling Celtic fans stay long after the game singing ‘We’re no’ flaming leaving’ and when the lights were put up they lit uplighters and continued to sing.

* Charlie Nicholas plays against Celtic for Aberdeen for the first time.
