Celtic are on the verge of signing Honduran winger Luis Palma. The fee and personal terms are done and dusted so it could all be official very soon, indeed the player could make an appearance at Celtic Park this afternoon.

Luis is a talented player with great potential and he should go straight into the side. His natural position is left wing which is currently occupied by Daizen Maeda. Daizen is a great player, he gives nothing less than one hundred percent and is an important part of our side, but Luis has got that bit more skill and final ball than Daizen so it’s most likely that Luis will be the main man out on the left.

That doesn’t spell the end for Daizen as he will still fight for Luis with that position plus he can tend another area for us in the shape of centre forward.

We know Kyogo is the main man there, but Daizen can also play there and it’s where Brendan played him in pre-season to great effect. Diazen is a natural centre forward and he looks more comfortable through the middle. Brendan will get the best out of him that’s for sure.

When Oh comes back from injury it gives us another outlet in the striking department and saves us going into the transfer market. That’s a plus as we can focus our thoughts on other areas that need seeing to, like centre back.
