There’s no campaign of pressure towards match officials, we only want them to do their jobs fairly and properly…
TheRangers supporters have this week started to accuse Celtic supporters of pilling pressure on the match officials leading up to Saturday’s crucial Glasgow Derby game at Celtic Park, where there will be no away supporters due to their own stupidity.
Yes it is quite amusing isn’t it, as if the officials are going to listen to some blogger like me, or accounts on social media, because let’s face it, that’s the only place they would read about it as the media has been a wall of silence regarding the tidal wave of favourable decisions towards the Ibrox side.
What is wrong with calling out blatant bias? Nothing, because you can bet if the shoe was on the other foot (no laughing at the back), they wouldn’t be any less vocal. You can bet your life on just that.
The facts are all there, it’s clear for all to see. Even theRangers supporters must know that deep down, surely? Well maybe not.
We are not pressuring officials into favourable decisions, far from it. All we want is for them to do their jobs correctly. No penalties against in 73 matches and their own shirt-pulling rule that guarantees them a penalty every singe time but seemingly doesn’t apply when the pull is on the other shirt.
Think about it, a shirt pull in the box is a penalty by the letter of the law. So if we get awarded one on Saturday, yes I know it’s highly unlikely, but if we do it would be the correct decision.
If the officials are being pressured into giving the right decisions, it tells you how bad the situation is. It’s not pressure being applied, just a need for them to do their job correctly and treat every side equally. That’s what supporters of all sides – except one – are crying out for across the Scottish Premiership.
