Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart appeared on TalkSport this morning and was asked about his dealings with the Celtic support.

A firm fan favourite, Hart was questioned about whether the supporters have told him that he is now at the biggest club in his career. The Englishman laughed, before saying:

“That is for other people to argue.

“From what I’m getting from a true Celtic fan, they don’t really talk about anyone else. They are not particularly disrespectful about any other teams, apart from the obvious!

“When it comes to their club they live, they breath and are proud to be Celtic.”

The former Premier League winner and England international has played at the highest level, but is thoroughly enjoying his time in Glasgow.

“Everyone else, great, go and do your thing,” he continued.

“(There has been) A lot of nods towards what went on at Manchester City, but they are not particularly bothered about anyone else.”

It is often said that players don’t grasp the magnitude of Celtic Football Club before they arrive. For Joe, that cliché rings true: “The common message is you don’t know what you are getting yourself into until you are up there, and that’s so true.

“I don’t say that because I want to impress anyone. I’m not particularly bothered whether people believe me or not, because it is something you have to experience.

“When you do, it’s special and it’s a great place to be and I’m enjoying it.”
