‘This has to be Lennon’s last game in charge’, these fans react to starting XI

It is fair to say that this has been a tough few weeks for Celtic. Falling 11 points behind Rangers in the league and exiting both the Europa League and League Cup over the course of a few days lead to fans demanding that Neil Lennon be sacked as manager.

However, the board stuck with the Irishman and now, he is preparing his side for a game against the Serie A leaders, AC Milan. With two wins in eleven, Lennon struggled in recent weeks but he named a strong side to play in the 17:55 Kick Off.

Although some supporters are not happy as they react to the Starting XI.

Celtic have the joint worse defensive record in the Europa League with 13 goals conceded across the four games so far.

Lennon will want the players to respond to him and to prove that they are fighting for him after what has been incredibly tough. He said that he needs a cultural change and a win tonight or even a performance that would help appease the fans. Some, rightfully, make the point that the side have to play on Sunday versus St Johnstone.

  1. I dont know if this will be posted but here goes… To the true Celtic fans, please take a breath. First of all, about the incident after the County game. I understand frustration, i understand anger and the desperate need to do well in this historically significant season, but threats of violence towards our team and players is taking it too far. I couldnt believe what the reports said, and honestly, i would like to believe that they were exaggerated and that no players or staff would actually have been hurt. This is a strange year people and i think its not just that we are doing badly but also that rangers are going so well that hurts and makes it worse. I think Neil Lennon deserves the chance to turn things round starting Sunday. If we can get a run of wins to the Cup Final and Boxing day games, we might be able to turn Rangers over at Ibrox. Difficult ? Yes. Impossible ? No. If i end up outside Parkhead on Sunday i hope anyone there will join me when i start belting out…”Forever and Ever….. Neil is still there as manager, so we should do what Celtic supporters do best and get behind our team. They know we are angry and upset. Its time to let them know we havent given up and that we are with them. That could be the difference between winning and losing. When Neil was getting bullets through the post he stuck it out because he believed in the team and in the job. We owe him this last roll of the dice
