Three Celtic players have been named in the PFA Scotland Team of the Year. Odsonne Edouard, Kris Ajer and David Turnbull were all awarded with a place in the side after reasonably impressive individual seasons. Despite Celtic relinquishing their stranglehold over the Scottish game following four consecutive trebles, three of the teams brightest talents have been named by their fellow players in the Team of the Year.
Edouard finished as the top goalscorer in the country with 22 strikes and 6 assists. The Frenchman is expected to leave the club in the summer and despite a campaign that fell beneath the standards set in previous years, Edouard will likely go for upwards of £20m.
Kris Ajer is another player that will likely to attract interest in the summer from clubs in the top five leagues. The Norwegian central defender has been one of the more consistent performers for the club this season – even if in defence, we have been woeful.
Turnbull was named the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year but also won both the Celtic Player of the Year and Celtic Young Player of the Year awards in the club’s POTY awards last week.
