This one has to go down as a disappointment largely because of our failure to take chances. There were no real sitters but there were many half chances which a team with title winning aspirations must really put away .

Kristoffer Ajer is going through a tough patch at the moment, but the own goal was just sheer bad luck. Celtic’s goal on the other hand was a great one, and showed that Moritz Bayer continues to impress and that Ryan Christie can head as well as all his other attributes.

Olivier Ntcham was, I feel, extraordinarily lucky not to get the red card. “Violence” was possibly too strong a word, “handbags” might have been more appropriate, but he did lift his hands, and Mr Clancy who was not reluctant to flash his yellow cards would have been justified in showing a red.

But if the referee was charitable to Celtic then, he was wrong with both these penalty claims in the second half, and over the piece, I think that Celtic can call themselves unlucky. But of course, you create your own luck in football.

The incident involving Hibs Manager was quite funny but it was just frustration. I felt a little similar myself at full time. We really should have won this one – but lessons must be learned, in particular in the finishing department.
