“To everyone wondering…Get used to it. Jota on the wing. Jota on the wing. ..”

Make of this what you will but it’s one of two tweets today that have caught the imagination of the Celtic Support and both involve Celtic players who have scored against a Rangers outfit.

Let’s start with this on showing Jota kicking about in his stateside holiday in NYC actually wearing the Hoops in the same way that Celtic supporters do when they are on their holidays.

Everything Celtic explains what appears to have happened…

“Whilst on holiday in New York City amid speculation on a permanent transfer Jota has been spotted in his Celtic gear. @MattyOneill94 spotted the winger before Jota joined him for a kick about as well as a couple of pints.”

This, many supporters have noted is not the actions of a player who knows he is leaving Celtic or indeed has left but rather one who is proud to wear the Hoops and happy to let the whole world see him doing it, even on his own spare time.

Matty O’Neill posted this message with accompanying photos…

“Had a game yest, needed players so asked couple lads that were there to play…… it was Jota from Celtic and some pro playing in Cyprus 🤣🤣. We played then kicked around for 2 hours after and then had a couple of pints with the lads talking pure football. Top guys!”

Asked by so many fans to spill the beans and for an update for the horse’s mouth on the situation re Jota signing for Celtic, Matty answered:

“To everyone wondering… Get used to it. JOTA ON THE WING JOTA JOTA ON THE WING.”
