Celtic will face Rangers in the Premier Sports Final after the Ibrox side battled to an unconvincing win over Motherwell. After Celtic utterly demolished Scotland’s second side yesterday, Rangers knew that a win would set up a Glasgow Derby Final.

Philippe Clement had faced a backlash from sections of the media and the Rangers support for his comments after their defeat to Aberdeen. However, the Belgian has managed to secure the victory that will keep him in the role.

With Rangers 1-0 down at halftime, the Rangers supporters booed the players down the tunnel at the break. They were rescued by goals from Cyriel Dessers and Nedim Bajrami, with the winner taking a wicked deflection.

The sides will now meet on December 15th as they look to win the first silverware of the season. Rangers, the holders, will have been hoping that Aberdeen could have done them a favour but the relentless display from Celtic proved that Brendan’s side are an impressive force.

Celtic have a tough run of fixtures before the meeting at the National Stadium and the manager will not want his side to be dwelling on this game, especially given the importance of League and UCL games.
