Unique Angle – Hat-trick hero joins Celtic’s Gallant Band

No point waiting until Monday morning for the Unique Angle as Celtic TV’s video editing team worked late into Saturday night to drop the six Celtic goals captured by the club’s own cameras from earlier this afternoon at Celtic Park.

History was made as James Forrest scored a hat-trick and joined the most elite band of Celtic stars, numbering just thirty, who have scored a hundred goals or more for the club.

And on the day that Jamesy joined that gallant band of Bhoys another was back at Celtic Park. Frank McGarvey received a tremendous reception and everyone will wish the popolar Celtic legend all the best and hope that he makes a full recovery from that dreadful illness.

As the fans chanted in your honour today, Frank: You’ll Never Walk Alone…

  1. Wee bit of trivia:

James Forrest averages a goal every 4.5 games.

Since Celtic’s conception in 1887 a player has reached this milestone of scoring 100 goals for the club once every 4.5 years when its averaged out i.e. 135 years ÷ 30 players.

Not that it means anything, just found it interesting when working it out there
