Craig Gordon showed his class as former Celtic teammate James Forrest was presented with a special shirt, commemorating his 500th appearance for the club.

The veteran keeper was named in the nets by Steven Naismith for the Premiership clash.

As James Forrest received the shirt from Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers, the Invincible Gordon stood towards the halfway line to applaud his former teammate.

As the presentation concluded, Gordon returned to the goal to prepare for the first half. The stopper made a number of good saves despite being left in a heap after a 50/50 with Kyogo. The Scotland Internationalist spent a fair amount of time in the first 45 minutes taking time before goals kicks.

Gordon was unable to prevent two second half strikes from Arne Engels and Luke McCowan as the Deadline Day signings combined to beat Hearts.

It was a nice gesture from Gordon to his former Celtic and Scotland teammate James Forrest, someone that he will have known well from their time together at the club.
