This weekend’s Glasgow Derby is a dead rubber in terms of league positions, but there’s always pride to play for in such matches, particularly when one of the teams is within touching distance of completing an unbeaten league campaign.

Celtic have fallen a long way short this season and their last hope is to record a victory on Sunday before the campaign ends. However, the shoe has been on the other foot several times in recent years and in a Glasgow derby back in 2007, Celtic went to Ibrox as champions.

The game ended 2-0 to Rangers but there was little concern from the Celtic ranks or Artur Boruc, who waved the champions flag around the pitch at full time. The Celtic end lapped it up whilst the home stands went into meltdown.

The footage goes to show that dead rubbers can be just as eventful as any other match when rival teams meet.
