Great interview with Brendan Rodgers on Celtic TV at the moment, as the Celtic manager reflects on the 3-0 Glasgow Derby victory over theRangers last Sunday…
“I was very pleased with the performance and the result,” Brendan told Celtic TV. “Going in to the game I was really looking for improvement from when we last played.
“I think that was clear to me that we had done that. In the first 10 minutes, our distances and our pressing weren’t quite what I wanted them to be, but we were still strong.
“We didn’t have too many issues, but then once we made that breakthrough of the goal that wasn’t, then we really took off in the game. It ended up being a fantastic day for the players, the supporters and the staff.’
“I’d still like us to be more ruthless if I’m honest. In all the games we’ve scored three goals, so from an attacking perspective, we’re playing how I’d want us to be.
“But there are still elements that we can be better in. We are creating really good opportunities and we can have that ruthlessness to take those and make the scoreline even greater.”
