Video: Adam Idah scores Celtic’s opener with excellent penalty

Adam Idah has his first Celtic goal after the Irish Internationalist struck his penalty beyond David Marshall in the Hibs goal. Celtic were awarded the penalty after Nick Walsh spotted Alistair Johnston get absolutely clattered by Triantis.

Idah, on his first start, took the ball and made no mistake as he sent former Scotland goalkeeper Marshall the wrong way to score for Celtic.

Johnston required to get treatment after taking contact to the side of his face, resulting in Tony Ralston coming on from the bench. Hopefully the Canadian defender’s substitution was just precautionary.

Celtic have had ten penalties this season but missed four of their last seven. It is good to see there’s a reliable penalty taker in the squad again.
