Hugh McLaughlin was born and raised on Ballymurphy Road, Belfast. Just over a month ago, Hugh sadly suffered a cardiac arrest, which left him in an intensive care unit at the Royal Victoria Hospital (Belfast) for two weeks. As his condition stabilised, Hugh was moved to a normal ward, where he continued his recovery for another two weeks before being sent home.

A lifelong Celtic fan, Hugh’s friends and family had gathered to give him warm applause and welcome him home with a display of Celtic flags and Irish tri-colours.
