Tommy Gravesen was ultimately a bit of a flop at Celtic. He arrived from Real Madrid with massive things expected from him at Parkhead, but it didn’t materialise. He did, however, play in the historic 1-0 Champions League victory over Manchester United and scored two goals against Rangers.

The common theme among those who worked alongside him is that he was an immensely talented player, but an absolute nutter. Gravesen had a great career at Everton, taking him to Real Madrid and then on to Celtic. He was a hilarious, larger than life character and a very hard worker.

You can enjoy the hilarious stories of the man in the below Open Goal video, hosted by former Celt, Simon Ferry.
