Video: Brendan Rodgers rages at Celtic kit man before shoot out

Celtic sealed their passage to the Scottish Cup Final yesterday with a penalties win over Aberdeen. Brendan Rodgers’ side conceded in the last minute of normal time and of extra time forcing spot kicks.

As the team huddled around their manager for instructions, the Celtic manager raged at kit man Stevie Wright, who was speaking to Paulo Bernardo.

It was an uncharacteristic moment from Rodgers but showed how much he was invested in the team pushing into the final without any distractions.

  1. Stevie Wright struts about the park pre match each week as if he part of the coaching staff . Maybe needed put in his place yesterday . Well done the gaffer

  2. Scales has got to replaced by Narowki for the run in. Scales against Aberdeen was hopeless and made CCV look cumbersome having to do two mens work. He is not very good in the air from a standing start and must be feplaced or it will turn out to be a disaster.

  3. Wasn’t Scales fault that Miovski skinned CCV for Aberdeen’s opener!
All the negativity towards Scales is unwarranted he has out performed many of his team mates over the season so far.
Let’s get behind the team, the coaches and Brendan and we’ll bring the title and perhaps the cup back to Celtic Park. Hail Hail

  4. must agree that Narowki must start alongside Carter vickers having paid big money for him cant understand not starting him. it was clear we are not strong at defending crosses into our box. i would also say we need a taller left back, Greg taylor not the answer.

How can anybody criticise Scales before Taylor. The number of goals he costs the team, or being out of position costs is every week.
Late in the game aberdeen winger plays it cutback in central to his mid, taylor shuttles to the CENTRE HALF ALREADY THERE, leaves the winger, ball back to winger and he’s lost.
He may be good at training level and in dressing room but as a player…

    • Celtic have the money to improve our defence and looking ahead to next season and trying to improve in Europe then the defence needs to be strengthened. Taylor and Scales can compete for places, it’s not their fault that the competition for places is so weak in Scales’ case and non-existent in Taylor’s. That needs addressed even if we win the double. Both players were poor at the weekend, thus the criticism. Johnston is in better form now but hasn’t been great over the season and CCV is hardly back to his best. Meanwhile Joe Hart is retiring and we all know what happened the last time we spent big money on a keeper.

  6. Tom McGoldrick on

Scales was arcfaugor both 2nd and 3rd goals. He lost his marker on those two occasions. Also his coming out of defence is so slow and predictable that opposing teams have time to regroup. And it’s not the first time this season. Rogers has to show his ruthless streak and drop him for the sake of winning the league and Cup. It’s no coincidence that opposing teams target to the left hand side of our defence against scales and Taylor. Nawrovki has shown speed on the ball and he can head a ball.
