It looked like Celtic were going to plod their way to a dull and goalless first half against Motherwell, but James Forrest has finally stepped up to provide the breakthrough.

Celtic were struggling to create anything of note so a lot of the credit here has to go to Callum McGregor, who actually drove forward and tried to make something happen, while Forrest takes advantage of some poor defensive positioning to fire it into the far corner:

The overall performance has further demonstrated why Celtic need to get at least one striker on the pitch, but at least the goal will give them some confidence and hopefully a few more will follow.
