Few in attendance could forget the thriller that was Celtic 4-3 Dundee United (AET) at Hampden Park in 2013. The match was a Scottish Cup semi final and it was breathtaking from start to finish.
Celtic took the lead after just 2 minutes, when Kris Commons unleashed a long range effort which flew into the corner of the net. However, the Arabs turned the game on its head with goals from Gary MacKay-Steven and John Daly. Just a minute later, Wanyama drew Celtic level and fans caught their breath for 10 minutes as the half time whistle sounded with the score tied at 2-2.
The second half began with Celtic restoring an advantage through Commons on the hour mark. But that ball rebounding off his chest into the back of net, only gave Celtic supporters 11 minutes of joy, as Daly dispatched a superb looping header at the back post to once again level the score.
It took until the 104th minute for Anthony Stokes to find a winning goal, with a great header in extra-time. Celtic could finally look forward to the cup final, in which they beat Hibernian 3-0.
