Treble-winning Celtic player and manager Neil Lennon was a guest on the Celtic FC Podcast discussing his memories from European nights across his illustrious career both on the pitch and in the dugout of his beloved Hoops.

The Official Celtic Podcast hosts Lennon, who speaks well, to preview this evening’s game against Lazio by discussing his own European memories, including the two 2019 wins against Lazio.

“The former treble-winning player and manager joins for this special European edition of the podcast as the Hoops head to take on Lazio in Rome in the UEFA Champions League.

“Lennon helps preview the big Euro match by reflecting on his own historic victories over the Serie A side back in 2019, as he describes how his team managed to win away in the UEFA Europa League on a famous night in Italy.

“The ex-captain looks back on his own memories of his playing career in Europe as he reflects on some huge nights against the likes of Liverpool, Porto, Barcelona and so much more.

“He also takes time to remember his time as a manager in the Champions League at Paradise and provides the inside story on that season in 2012/13 as Celtic defeated Spartak Moscow and Barcelona to reach the last-16.”

Lenny is currently being touted as a potential contender for the Ireland job and you’d like to see him return to the dugout after his second Celtic spell ended badly. Lennon won ten titles with Celtic, eight Scottish Cups and three league cups in two spells as manager and as a player. He is undoubtedly a Celtic legend but he also has successes with Hibs (promotion and highest finish) as well as with Omonia Nicosia winning Cyprus Cup and taking them to the Europa League.
