Video: Celtic release new third kit

Celtic have today released a new third kit ahead of the new campaign kicking off in August. The club have already released a new home and away kit so far, which has saw mixed reviews to say the least, especially the home kit which has its lovers and haters.

Along with the black away kit, the Hoops have now released a very funky strip for sure. Dark green with lighter greenish detail across the jersey which imitates soundawaves, it’s certainly one that will get supporters talking again. It’s sure to split opinion again and create a lot of chatter.

The third kit is rarely used and is almost certainly always an excuse to generate more revenue by football clubs and Celtic are no different. With this one, it’s hard to see where the correlation between the club and soundwaves comes in. Nevertheless, if it sells and puts more money in the coffers for more signings – who cares!

I'm a Garngad Bhoy through and through. My first ever Celtic game was a friendly against Italian side Parma at Celtic Park, in 2002. Currently a student of English Literature and Education at the University of Strathclyde for my sins. Favourite game would be a toss up between beating Manchester United with that Naka freekick, or the game against the Oldco when Hesselink scored in the dying seconds. I'm still convinced Cal Mac is wasted playing that far back.
