Celtic have completed their first day of training in their warm-weather training camp in Dubai. The Scottish Champions sit 19 points behind Rangers in the Premiership table and despite having three games in hand, many are suggesting that the title race is already over.
As Nicola Sturgeon announced that Scotland would be heading into a new lockdown, Celtic were training in the UAE sunshine. Celtic released a video of the vigorous training that will hopefully see Celtic roar back to action on Monday versus Hibernian as they look to overturn the lead held by Rangers.
Despite the Scottish Government giving the ok to go on the trip in November, Celtic have faced criticism for their decision to go to Dubai. Fans, who have paid up through this global pandemic for a seat that they can’t sit in, are rightfully a bit aggrieved that the players are sunning themselves abroad when they can’t leave the house except for ‘essential’ reasons.
It strikes as Celtic not having read the room amidst these restrictions for the regular punter. With that said, if this break acts as the catalyst for Celtic to win 10IAR I will be all for it.
