The Celtic YouTube page has uploaded another short clip of their classic ‘unique angle’ series, showing the unforgettable Demolition Derby in a new light.
Just over 13 years ago, the then Rangers FC who were Scottish Champions at the time travelled to Paradise to face Celtic in the first ‘Old Firm’ of the season.
The match marked Martin O’Neil’s first game against the now defunct Rangers FC in his time as Celtic manager. The game was off to a quick start with Chris Sutton making a new record by scoring in the 51st second, the quickest goal scored in any Old Firm match. The Hoops completely dominated Rangers FC, with the game concluding with a scoreline of 6-2, and the creation of the name ‘Demolition Derby’.
This clip uploaded by Celtic TV shows the unique angles of the match, displaying it in a completely different way than you’ve probably seen before. In the build up to this Sunday’s Glasgow Derby at Ibrox against the latest club playing out of the Govan stadium, it’s enjoyable to look at Celtic piling on the agony and putting on the style against either of their clubs. Enjoy the Unique Angle…
