RYAN CHRISTIE was in an emotional state following Scotland’s qualification for EURO 2020. On a rainy night in Belgrade, Ryan Christie gave Celtic the lead before being substituted with minutes remaining. Unfortunately, Scotland conceded but they were down and not out. Christie was forced to watch from the sidelines as his teammates sealed a place in the European Championships next summer.
However, after the game, the 22-year-old wait for an appearance at a major tournament got to Christie and he broke down in his post-match interview. The humble midfielder was a class act on the pitch and he proved he was off of it, dedicating the win to the supporters at home.
"I hope everyone back home is having a party tonight!" 🥳
