Greg Taylor scored Celtic’s third of the afternoon with a tap-in at the back post. Killie threatened to make things interesting with a Watson goal but the left-back restored the two goal cushion for Brendan Rodgers’ side.

As he has done on a few occasions this afternoon, Maeda won the header at the front post from Matt O’Riley’s corner and sent the ball into the path of Taylor, who couldn’t miss.

Celtic will go ten points clear of Rangers and seven clear of St Mirren with the two teams due to meet in Paisley tomorrow afternoon.
