Former Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon produced two late wonder saves to foil Ange Postecoglou’s side late on in the defeat to Hearts. As John Souttar gave Hearts the lead, Celtic pushed forward to try and rescue a point and on two occasions, Celtic would’ve thought that they had managed to level things up but for Craig Gordon.

While Celtic were waiting on Fraser Forster to return last summer, they allowed Gordon to leave on a free and instead signed Vasilis Barkas for €5m after the Englishman decided to remain at Southampton.

It is frustrating for Celtic given the lack of quality in the goalkeeping department at the club whilst Gordon was allowed to leave for Hearts for less money due to how he felt that he had been treated during negotiations.
