Celtic made it 1-0 thanks to a goal from Daizen Maeda. Liel Abada, who replaced Kyogo early on, slid the ball into Aaron Mooy’s path and the Australian fired the ball across the six yard box from Maeda to put beyond Trevor Carson.
The Japanese attacker is playing in a central role after Kyogo went off following a collision with two Saints players.
Celtic will be hoping to extend their lead against the visitors from Paisley, who have looked fired up.
