Video: Danish pundit slams Matt O’Riley Euros omission

Danish football pundit Thomas Sonnichsen has criticised Kasper Hjulmand’s decision not to pick Matt O’Riley in the provisional Danish Euro squad.

The 23-year-old has had his best season in football, providing assists and finding the net himself. Although, remarkably, that hasn’t been enough for Hjulmand.

The squad is only provisional and Hjulmand can rectify his mistake; however, given the reaction on social media, the Danish supporters are not impressed that O’Riley has been excluded given his remarkable form.

O’Riley is still training with the National Team and will hope that he can impress the coaching staff and earn a place on the plane to Germany.
