Celtic’s Reserves booked their place in the Final of the SPFL Reserves Cup with a comprehensive 4-1 win at Lennoxtown yesterday.

As Neil Lennon watched on, a Hoops side containing Patryk Klimala, Ismaila Soro and Hatem Abd Elhamed blew away the Easter Road side to set up a final with Aberdeen’s Reserves.

Luca Connell opened the scoring with a volley from Daniel Arzani’s cross to set Tommy McIntyre’s team on their way.

However, it was Karamoko Dembele that impressed as the talented 16-year-old scored twice either side of half time. His first goal, on the stroke of half time was a stunning strike, which kissed the bar on its way in. His second was as good, starting with the ball in midfield, Dembele weaved through the Hibs defence before firing beyond Adam Bogdan in the Hibs net.

In terms of the first team, Klimala scored with an impressive finish to show Neil Lennon what he is capable of. Soro lasted 76 minutes before being replaced by Coffey whilst Elhamed lasted just over an hour.
